Lucerne (also called Alfalfa)

There’s a large patch of these much branched perennials on the dune near the pond at Coatham Dunes in various different colours, some of which are quite attractive if you look closely. It used to be grown as a fodder crop and is not native, but has been naturalized in the UK for the last 200 years or so.
