Yellow-rattle

Very interesting native annual much loved by conservationists as when sown amongst grasses in a meadow attaches its roots to the grass roots and sucks the food out so the grasses grow poorly and don’t compete against the wildflowers as much…the result is a more biodiverse meadow. Found all along the coast from the grassy dunes to the grassy cliffs and cliff-tops.
