Anacamptis pyramidalis

One of our more spectacular native orchids not least because it can sometimes cover the cliffs with thousands of deep pink flower spikes. It grows well in lime-rich soil, which is why you can see so much of it in the grassland along the weathered slag cliffs near Skinningrove.
