Colt's-foot

Awesome latin name and…well….interesting plant. The flowers appear before the leaves and so sometimes you don’t always connect the random dandelion-like flowers appearing early in the year with the leaves which turn up later, initially a bit greyish and felted but that seems to wear off and they soon look greener. It’s pretty tough and spreads underground and you can see it as one of the first plants to recover after a landslip on the cliffs. Also used in herbal cough medicine. Very common.
