Cowslip

Cowslips are usually thought of as a meadow wildflower rather than a seaside one, but there really are a lot of meadow wildflowers on the grassy sloping cliff faces along our coastline. It’s because that grassland hasn’t been ploughed or fertilized they have survived here and whatever salty sea-spray that is blown up during winter storms obviously isn’t enough to affect the meadow flowers.
