Galium verum

A low sprawling perennial growing in dry grassy dunes…usually…over at Skinningrove where it’s been sown as part of the reclamation of an old industrial site it’s rather larger and more obvious when in full flower. When dried it smells sweetly of newly mown hay hence the descriptive common name.
